The New Covenant

Do you feel far from God? God offers you an intimate relationship with Himself. Closer than any friend, He offers you Himself. Like millions of others, I have come to know Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. God offers you the forgiveness of your sins and His own eternal life living in you, if you are willing to trust in Him. The New Covenant was created by God. He made it to give us a way to come to Him, to be at peace with Him and indwelt by Him.

You too, can know God. In a prayer to His Father, the Lord Jesus Christ said, "This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom You have sent." (John 17:3) Do you see what he said? "This is eternal life, that they may know You, and Jesus Christ, Whom You have sent." By His grace, I have come to know Him, and you can know Him too. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." (John 14:6) God wants you to come to Him.

The Bible tells us about God. It tells us that even when we were His enemies, God loved us. Most religions teach that we have to earn God's favor, and different religions have various requirements to earn God's favor. But if we are honest, we admit that we don't even live up to our own standards... How could we ever be good enough to earn His favor? Religious people will tell you that you've just got to work harder.

But, in the Bible, when people asked Jesus Christ, "What must we do, to work the works of God?" He didn't say to "Work harder." His answer is very unlike what most religious people tell us to do. Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe on Him whom He sent." That was it. "Believe on the one whom God has sent." He didn't add anything else to it. (John 6:28-29)

God made a way for us to come to Him. He made an agreement, a covenant by which we can receive Him and come to Him. This agreement is not based on our efforts to please God. (Titus 3:5-7) Religion is an attempt to bind the evil we find inside ourselves, to get it under control and make us more presentable to God. But God has another way.

God offers each of us a free gift, more valuable than the whole world. Even now, God offers you a new life in His unique son, Jesus. I want to tell you about God's free gift of life that is full of love, joy and peace. God loves you! He desires you, and He wants you to know Him.
